Day 27- Repairs Part 1 (85/365)

Pretty much ever since Minecraft 1.2.3 came out I have had nothing but bad luck. The first bad thing that happened was that when I downloaded 1.2.3 and converted my island map, my house on the hill…was gone. Not only that, but my old wooden castle that I burnt was back. And the holes that I filled up from my mo’ explosives rampaged came back unfilled. I am guessing that the world went back to one of the previous saves from about one week prior. I still don’t know entirely what happened but I can only assume there was a little trouble in converting  my map to anvil and then “poof” all gone.

A little bit after that, of course, I downloaded Mo’ Explosives 1.2.3 and went crazy. You guys know what happened if you read my previous Mo’ Explosives post. I underestimated the power of a nuke and pulverized my island…and the ocean.

Here’s a few pics to remind you of what happened:

My house as we left it.

Here is the hill, but no house.

One of the holes I had filled up

Doesn’t look filled up now

At my island, this is the giant hole in the ocean…from a nuke.

My pulverized island. It’s a sad sight it is.

The other major hole in the ocean. I don’t know what the hell I was thinking…

So, as you can see, I have a lot of stuff to fix. I should probably get started.

I decided to build a wall around the second ocean hole. I don’t know why exactly. I suppose to make it less of an eyesore.

Beautiful wall, right? Thanks, I made it myself.

I fixed the tunnel to my island. That was probably the easiest part, unfortunately.

Do you see what the nuke did to the water? It made it all crazy and crap.

Look at that! So much better already.

I think I completely fixed the castle. I still have to re-do the piston entrance, but that never got ruined. I just never changed it after I got rid of Vertical Redstone.

The lighthouse never took that much damage in the first place, but that’s all fixed now too.

The garden, the pillars, all done.

The observation room took a bit of a blow, it was almost completely made of glass, though, so it makes sense.

The storage room took some damage too which surprised me.

This is what I still have to work on. Wish me luck.

I’m not sure what I am going to do with this yet

Here is what I have left to do:

  • Repair remainder of island
  • Fix hole in ocean somehow…
  • Re-fill both explosion craters
  • Rebuild my house on the hill

This is a lot to accomplish and it will take a long time. Wish me lots of luck, thanks for reading, and HAPPY MINING!
